Gracie Abrams is set to embark on an exciting new chapter in her career, making her debut as an actress in an upcoming film from A24, directed by the talented Halina Reijn, known for her work on the film Babygirl.
Reijn will not only direct but also pen the screenplay for the project, titled Please. While specific plot details remain under wraps, insiders have disclosed to The Hollywood Reporter that the film will explore themes of female empowerment in a historical setting, continuing the bold romantic narrative style that Reijn showcased in her previous work, Babygirl.
The film will be produced by David Hinojosa, who previously collaborated with A24 on the successful 2025 release The Materialists. This marks the third partnership between Hinojosa and Reijn, following their successful collaborations on Babygirl and Bodies Bodies Bodies. Reijn's production company, Man Up Film, will produce the film in conjunction with A24, who will handle financing. Zach Nutman will serve as the executive producer for the project.
Gracie Abrams has made a name for herself as a Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter, recognized for her emotive tracks such as "I Love You, I’m Sorry" and "That’s So True." She gained significant exposure after opening for pop superstar Taylor Swift and recently completed her first solo arena tour across North America.
